One of my go-to drinks is a Fitzgerald. It was created by Dale DeGroff. I’ve learned nearly everything I know about making cocktails from his book, The Craft of the Cocktail. But another post on that later.
The Fitzsimmons is a variation I created using St. Germain elderflower liqueur. One of the best cocktails I’ve ever made, I must say.
The Fitzsimmons
1.5 oz. gin
1 oz. St. Germain
Juice of half a lemon
.5 oz. simple syrup
Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon peel (or two).
